| FF Adventure/Sword of Mana Sprites | 1 | 3 | individual sprites | One of the only sources of Sword of Mana sprites, ripped by my friend Alex. It also has sprites from the Gameboy version (Final Fantasy Adventure). |
| Sprite Database | 5 | 3.5 | sprite sheets | Site is easy to navigate and loads quickly. |
| Spriter's Resource, The | 5 | 3 | sprite sheets | This site sometimes loads slowly, but it's worth the wait. |
| Super Sprites! | 4 | 1 | individual sprites | Primarily covers Japanese SNES games. |
| Tatakau - Game Sprites and Picture Gallery | 4 | 2 | individual sprites | A few of the games are covered more thoroughly than the depth rating of 2 would indicate. There are some nice large sprites that aren't found anywhere else. |
| Creative Uncut | Awesome collection of high-resolution RPG illustration art (among other RPG multimedia). Best of all, there are no annoying logos or watermarks on their images. Be sure to check out their forum! |
| FantasyAnime | My friend's site, which covers classic gaming and anime. This site has so many cool things that it's difficult to describe in one paragraph. It includes multimedia for popular and fan-translated RPGs. It also has an excellent emulation tutorial that covers all of the best emulators. Don't forget to stop by the forum! |
| Final Fantasy Compendium | This site covers the story and setting of every Final Fantasy game. Here you can find summaries of each game's plot and information about nearly every character and place. It also covers various aspects of the Final Fantasy world, such as species, transportation, jobs, etc. I often consult this site for character names when building VideoGameSprites.net. |
| Final Fantasy Kingdom | Growing coverage of the Final Fantasy series. Includes information such as characters, magic, equipment, monsters, maps, etc. |
| NintendoNerds | Coverage of NES, SNES, N64, GameCube, and Wii. In addition to some background information about each console, there are: a forum, screenshots and other media, and fan-art. |
| Random ROMs Forums | Emulation downloads and forum. |
| Video Game Fan Art | A fan-art archive. (The last update was in January of 2007.) |

| Beyond the Pixelz | 2 | 2.5 | sprite sheets | Many of the poses are labeled, which is quite helpful. |
| Bogleech.com's Ghastly Game Sprite Archive | 4 | 3 | individual sprites | Specializes in monsters from science fiction and horror games. |
| Fattyboy.com | 2 | 3 | sprite sheets | The few characters that are covered tend to have multiple poses. |
| GSA: Game Sprite Archives | 5 | 3 | individual sprites | Navigation is quite tedious due to over-organization; it takes many clicks to get where you want. |
| NES and SNES Sprites | 5 | 3.5 | sprite sheets | Great coverage of NES and SNES games. |
| People's Sprites, The | 5 | 4 | sprite sheets | |
| Pixel Perfect | 2 | 3.5 | individual sprites | This site appears to have been abandoned. Navigation is tedious due to the fact that you have to click a link to see each individual image. |
| Pixel Warehouse | 4 | 2 | individual sprites | Primarily covers SEGA Master System and Genesis games. |
| Retrogamezone | 5 | 3 | sprite sheets | This site may not exist for much longer, as the webmaster is considering shutting the site down. |
| RPG Icons | 4 | 3.5 | individual sprites | Excellent collection, although the site has not been updated in years. (Despite the name of the site, there are no Windows icons.) |
| Scrollboss | 4 | 3 | individual sprites | Primarily covers classic side-scrollers like Double Dragon and Golden Axe. |
| Shyguy Kingdom, The | 5 | 4 | sprite sheets | One of the best sprite galleries. Lately, the site has exceeded its bandwidth limit, which causes the sprite site to shut down temporarily. |
| SNES GIFs and Sprites | 2 | 1.5 | individual sprites | Hardly worth your time except for a few animated images. |
| SpritePimp.com | 3 | 1 | individual sprites | This site claims to have custom sprites. I don't include custom sprite galleries, but the "custom sprites" on this site consist solely of original sprites with speech bubbles. |
| Video Game Sprites | 3 | 2 | individual sprites | Not to be confused with VideoGameSprites.net. |

| Final Fantasy Characters | 1 | 5 | individual sprites | While this site is primarily intended as an informational site about FF1, it has all of the characters and enemies. (Scroll down to see the NPCs.) |
| Final Fantasy Dream | 1 | 3 | individual sprites | A French-language site about the Final Fantasy series. It also has some sprites that have been collected from other web sites (such as VideoGameSprites.net), which are labeled "Sprites" or "Gifs Animés." |
| Fire Emblem | 1 | 2 | individual sprites | Fire Emblem (GBA version) status portraits. |
| Golden Sun Sprites | 1 | 5 | ZIP files | Exhaustive coverage of Golden Sun and Golden Sun: The Lost Age. |
| MrP's Castlevania Realm | 2 | 3.5 | individual sprites | Although this is not a sprite gallery, you can find most of the characters and enemies here. |
| PureZC | 3 | 2.5 | sprite sheets | Primarily dedicated to the Zelda series. Most sprites are customized/modified images, but it may not be obvious which are originals and which are customs until you click them. Very poorly organized. |
